Cross Country

Tauranga Intermediate Cross Country has always been a highlight for me. Last year I did really well coming 6th out of 250 and did well this year to. This year I came 10th, not as well as last year but I gave it my all.

So I was at the front of the line standing there freezing cold wait for the gun to go. "On your marks... get set... GO!" I started running, but not sprinting I was get pushed and pulled while trying to get into the front of the crowd. Unfortunately to get to the front I had to go all the way round, I figured that would be easy but it was quite hard. I finally got near the front going down the hill near Fraser Cove but it was so cold that I could see down the hill. My eyes had tears in them, then they flowed down my cheeks. I wiped them up and run up the two big hills, they are like my worst enemies when I do this track.

Idioms

You can lead your horse to water but you can't make it drink. 

Meaning: You can give someone the opportunity to do something, but you cannot force them to do it if they don't want to do it.

Example: When someone is forcing someone to do something.
You can give her lollies you can give her numbing cream you can hold her hand, but at the end of the day you can't force her.

Convocation in the playground.

"DUDE!" said Travis, "why you push me over ae!"
"I thought we were playing dodgems." said Benji.
Travis yelled "DOGDEM FIGHT!" Everyone joined in while hurting one another.
Benji jumps into Jahnas space and bowls her over.
"You just got BASHED!" laughed Benji.
Jahna got straight back up and jumped on Benji's back while laughing so hard she couldn't get off.
"Hahahaha I can't get off!" Jahna yelled with laughter. Benji shoves her off like she was a pillow.

Chargers At School.

What are the negatives of Rimu students charging there laptop at school?
1. People will be taking up lots of room in the class just for chargers.
2. It will be costing quite a lot over the year.
3. People will be tripping over cords and losing there chargers easily.

What are 2 of the suggestions for solving the problem?
1. We can take points off the group that the person is in.
2. You will only be able to charge in lunch and morning tea.

How I felt about the weekend...

Saturday 8 - Sunday 9
In the weekend I had two netball games. One against Mount and one against the Hamilton reps team. I was surprised that we were versing a rep team because we aren't a rep team our selves. I was really excited to play them though, it will give us some idea to what kind of teams there will be at Aims this year.
